WARRANTY

• Project Warranty - Refer to Conditions of the Contract for project warranty provisions

• Manufacturer’s Warranty - Submit, for Owners acceptance, manufacturer’s standard warranty document executed by an authorized company official. Sunset Stone’s products are covered for a period of 50 years from the date of purchase when used on a structure that conforms to local building codes and when installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. See Warranty for limitations and exclusions.

PART 2 PRODUCTS

MANUFACTURED STONE VENEER - Sunset Stone products are designed for interior or exterior nonstructural use as lightweight veneer facing on masonry, metal framed or wood framed construction for architectural aesthetics. No additional foundation or structural support is required. Installation is considerable faster than natural stone and much more affordable.

Stone Products and Trim:

• Sunset Stone will not add to the load bearing capacity of a wall. Products should not be used below the water, such as swimming pool liners or other water treatments. To avoid discoloring, products should not be subjected to harsh chemicals such as chlorine, salts, or acids. Products are not designed for flat work such as patio areas that are subject to traffic.

• Sunset Stone’s products are cast in uniquely designed molds to produce the texture of natural stone. Each product style is manufactured from a special blend of Portland cement, lightweight aggregates, and Iron oxide pigment to replicate the elegance of natural stone.

• Sunset Stone’s special blend of lightweight aggregates significantly reduce the effects of “freeze and thaw” while increasing the compression strength to levels above the industry standards.

2.02 PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS

2.03 RELATED MATERIALS



• Mortar:


• Portland Cement, ASTM C150, Type 1 or masonry cement (Type S), ASTM c91


• Masonry sand


• Lime: ASTM C207


• Iron Oxide Pigment


• Moisture Resistant Barrier: Kraft waterproof building paper, UBC Std. NO. 14-1 or ASTM D226 for Type 1 felt


• Metal Lath: Galvanized 2.5 lb. flat diamond mesh



2.04 MORTAR MIXES



• Mix materials in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Thoroughly mix mortar ingredients in quantities needed for immediate use in accordance with ASTM C270, Type S. Do not use antifreeze to lower the freezing point of the mortar.




PART 3 EXECUTION


3.01 MANUFACTURER’S INSTRUCTIONS
